Conor McGregor says "goodbye" to UFC

Conor McGregor seems to have retired from MMA once again.

More than eight years ago, McGregor had unexpectedly announced retirement from the sport out of boredom, as he later clarified. Since then, he has fought a handful of times, losing more than winning.

With the fans waiting for months for his comeback, the Irishman once again hinted at farewell on social media. Responding to a fan who suggested he should not come back to the UFC, McGregor wrote:

"Ya know what, you're right, good bye."

Robert Whittaker gives injury update

Robert Whittaker confirmed with Red Corner MMA that he did not break his jaw against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 308 but had a dental dislocation.

Whittaker's quick tap out to Chimaev's face crank came as a surprise to fans. It got cleared up pretty soon when Daniel Cormier showed the picture of the inside of Whittaker's mouth, in which his front lower teeth were visibly pushed back from where they should be.

Fans, fighters, and even medical experts weighed in, ruling the injury to be a mandible fracture. However, it is only an "Achilles heel" that got triggered, according to 'The Reaper':

"I'm alright, it wasn't the jaw, it was the teeth. The teeth got pushed in... If I didn't have such vulnerable teeth maybe I would have had another second to turn my head. Or maybe not. I just got caught in a bad position and the rest is history. My bottom teeth... they’re vulnerable. It’s my Achilles heel."

Whittaker said he struggled with the teeth against Dricus du Plessis as well. It stems from an injury he suffered at a young age.

Check out the interview below:

He reiterated the same in a social media statement:

"My jaw is good, but my teeth were moved in. It's a good excuse to fix them properly now haha."
