"Coward response" - When Sean Strickland went off at Belal Muhammad over 'Pray for Palestine' tweet
Sean Strickland once launched a tirade against Belal Muhammad on social media, responding to the newly crowned UFC welterweight champion's vocal support for Palestine. 'Tarzan' has built a reputation for stirring the pot with his outspoken and often provocative views on a wide range of socio-political issues.
Last October, Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups launched a coordinated assault involving ground and aerial attacks in multiple Israeli border areas, resulting in the tragic deaths of nearly 1,200 Israeli and foreign civilians.
Consequently, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) initiated a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip. Amid the conflict, 'Remember the Name' took to X to convey his steadfast solidarity with Palestine, posting "Pray for Palestine."
Strickland fired back at Muhammad's post, vehemently criticizing him and accusing him of supporting Hamas' attacks on Israelis. The former UFC middleweight champion alleged that Muhammad was failing to advocate efforts toward a diplomatic resolution:
"This is what you'd call a coward response. Instead of taking a stand against terrorism and advocating for a peaceful resolution, you say this dumb sh*t... Ignoring what just happened. Belal, you were born in America, you live in America, just shut the f**k up."

Muhammad has been an outspoken advocate for the State of Palestine. As a member of the American-Palestinian diaspora, 'Remember The Name' regularly carries the Palestinian flag into the octagon for each of his fights.
He further underscores his allegiance by selecting the Arabic anthem 'My Blood is Palestine' by Dami Falasteeni for his walkout music.
Belal Muhammad criticizes Sean Strickland for opposing stance on Palestine
During his appearance on the Money Loyalty Legacy podcast in May, Belal Muhammad expressed his irritation with Sean Strickland's stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, dismissing it as a mere cry for attention.
'Remember the Name' recalled noticing Strickland making comments about Palestine in the past:
"I posted one thing about Palestine, and it was literally three years ago. He just commented on there when it had nothing to do with him because he likes to just put his nose into stuff and get attention. And he said something like, 'They need to just give up. They're going to end up losing anyway; they just need to bend the knee.' It was the stupidest statement ever."
He added:
"But he did it just to get attention, to get a comment out of myself. Somebody like that who’s sitting there, laughing at people dying or making a joke out of it, it just shows what type of person he is. He’s like a piece of trash."
