Dustin Poirier offers UFC lightweight contender “hot sauce” in cryptic response to retirement jibe

Dustin Poirier still has some fight left in him. The lightweight, with one of the most impressive resumes in the UFC, recently beat one of the most explosive fighters in the division to make a statement and reassure his fans that he was not retiring.

However, Iranian-American fighter Beneil Dariush, the #4 ranked lightweight in the division, believes it's time Poirier retired.

In response to a news piece that quoted Dariush's statement on Twitter, Dustin Poirier made the lightweight an offer:

"Thanks for the advice Benny! I'll take it into consideration. Not sure if you're into hot sauce or not but if you are free Shipping on me!"

'The Diamond' took a playful jab at his fellow fighter by offering him free shipping on purchases from his hot sauce company Poirier's Louisiana Style Hot Sauce. Following his submission victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 281, fans suggested a title eliminator against Beneil Dariush, but Poirier turned it down, saying that the fight does not 'excite him'.

In response to Dustin Poirier's comments, the Iranian-American MMA fighter responded by saying, that the Louisiana native needs to step up to the competition or step-off and essentially retire from the sport.

Dariush also went on to state that there are 'dogs' coming who are looking to 'kill' and Poirier cannot go around fighting more 'Michael Chandler's.

Dustin Poirier reacts to Dana White slapping his wife at a New Year's party

A few days into 2023, TMZ released a video of an altercation between Dana White and his wife, which was recorded in a club during New Year's. In the video, White's wife slaps him first, and he responds by slapping her back and a commotion ensues right before the video cuts off.

'The Diamond' reacted to the now-viral video and the whole incident by saying:

"You should never put your hands on a woman. I don't know the repercussions that come along with somebody of his stature, running these businesses and doing something like that. I have no clue. It's not a good look for sure."

Ever since the incident, both Dana White and his wife have issued separate apologies for the incident and reassured fans that this was a one-off incident that involved a lot of alcohol.
