UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill eyes superfight with Jon Jones at heavyweight (Exclusive)
Jamahal Hill recently weighed in on Jon Jones, who is finally set to make an octagon return at heavyweight after a hiatus of three years. The newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion was asked about a potential heavyweight clash against 'Bones' in the future.
Hill claims to have always been open to a clash against Jones at heavyweight. However, 'Sweet Dreams' believes there is still room for some betterment in his game, which is seemingly his immediate concern. Expressing interest in a potential future clash against Jones, Hill said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA:
"Yeah, it's never stopped crossing my mind, a thousand percent. I still got some building to do, right. I still have defenses that I have to make. But is that a challenge that I want for the future? Yes, it is."

Many considered Jamahal Hill undeserving of a title shot when he was announced as one half of the UFC 283 main event opposite Glover Teixeira. 'Sweet Dreams' shut his haters down by thoroughly outclassing Teixeira in an instant classic to be crowned the new UFC light heavyweight champion.
Jamahal Hill predicts Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane
Jon Jones will make his much anticipated heavyweight debut against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 285 on March 4. 'Bones' and Gane will compete for the heavyweight title left vacant by Francis Ngannou's UFC exit.
Jamahal Hill believes Jones and Gane share several similarities in their style. However, 'Sweet Dream' expects Jones to have a slight advantage over 'Bon Gamin' in the grappling aspect.
According to Hill, 'Bones' will use chain wrestling (a combination of moves stringed together) to take Gane to the ground and hold him there. The UFC light heavyweight champion further told Sportskeeda MMA:
"I think a lot of good things that Jon does well, Ciryl Gane does well [too]. Also I think Jon's ability to grapple and mix it in is really good but so is Ciryl Gane's. I think the one edge that Jon may have is chain wrestling. I think he could actually be able to chain together some offense to get him down and hold him down. And we know how damaging Jon is from top position."

While Jon Jones has moved to favorite status after opening up as an underdog, many doubt if his light heavyweight success will translate to heavyweight. Hill believes 'Bones' is smart enough to have taken the weight difference into account and prepared accordingly.
