George Fensom's Love Island stint and abuse allegations by Ebony Keeley

George Fensom presented himself as a business development executive looking for a suitable partner on Love Island (Series 10) in 2023. Speaking to The Sun at that time, then-24-year-old Ebony Keeley accused Fensom of driving her to the brink of suicide. They allegedly met on Tinder in 2021 and dated for around two years.

Keeley suggested their relationship turned abusive around the three-month mark. The Milton Keynes-based marketing manager claimed that George Fensom would publicly insult her, refuse to split bills, and mostly make her pay.

In addition, Keeley claimed he'd cheated on her during a friends trip to Ibiza and later "gaslit" and deemed her "mental" when confronted. She accused Fensom's family of urging him to participate in Love Island despite him being in a relationship with her.

Keeley showed their text messages to The Sun, wherein Fensom responded to her texts of being suicidal by asserting it's "not my problem."

She opined that Fensom's Love Island stint was his ploy to gain fame, followers, and brand deals. Keeley wanted ITV to take him off Love Island, to prevent him from negatively influencing younger boys and possibly abusing women on the show. In Dec. 2022, a month after their breakup, she posted a TikTok video concerning the allegedly abusive relationship.

Women's Aid, an organization that safeguards women's rights and combats domestic abuse, supported Keeley and urged the Love Island brass to investigate Fensom. Some fans opposed Fensom's participation. Regardless, he was featured on the show and was the first contestant eliminated, exiting on day five.

Keeley recently made the following tweet, criticizing Fensom getting to compete for Misfits Boxing.

Accusations of causing PTSD to former partner Katie Hewitt

Around the time of George Fensom's Love Island appearance, then-25-year-old Katie Hewitt also levied accusations. The Sun reported that Hewitt met Fensom at a nightclub in 2017. Their 18-month relationship was ended by Fensom over the phone.

Hewitt, a retail professional from Bedford, the same place Fensom is from, recalled that their relationship turned abusive around the six-month mark. She stopped eating and was allegedly afflicted by PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Akin to Keeley, Hewitt accused Fensom of allegedly controlling what she wore and ate. Hewitt believed he cheated on her during a friends trip to Zante but "gaslit" and accused her of infidelity. She requested ITV not to provide a platform to Fensom and to remove him from Love Island.

George Fensom and his family vehemently refuted Keeley and Hewitt's allegations. Furthermore, another report in 2023 featured homophobic and racist tweets he allegedly made several years back. Fensom apologized for the tweets, deleted them, and claimed to have changed.
