Chael Sonnen talks about Jon Jones' return and how it could be different

Chael Sonnen believes that Jon Jones will be successful in his UFC return and that the former light heavyweight champion will still be a very good fighter at heavyweight.

Sonnen uploaded a video to his YouTube channel where he analyzed Jones' skillset. He noted that the former UFC light heavyweight champion's track record of success inside the octagon and preparation gives him an edge, saying:

"As human beings, we don't get better at something by not doing it. Now, Jon Jones has broken a ton of rules over time in terms of, he has done things that nobody else can do. That's what being the youngest champion of all-time is largely all about. He can do things that other people can't do." {0:09 - 0:27}

The former UFC title challenger then added that a fighter's power is usually the last thing to go away as they get older. He mentioned that 'Bones' was never one to rely on his power, but he is still a very intriguing challenger for Francis Ngannou, saying:

"Jon's still gonna be quicker, he's still gonna be longer but it's a very different fight. It's something to look forward to. I don't expect the same Jon, but I do expect a very good one. I do expect a very dangerous one. I think the coaches when they're saying he's got more power, that would seem to make sense to me." {8:41 - 8:59}

Sonnen raised many interesting points and it will be interesting to see whether 'Bones' will continue to have success with his takedowns now that he'll be competing over 30lbs heavier than he's accustomed to.

Chael Sonnen believes that Sean O'Malley will receive a UFC bantamweight title shot the next time he steps inside the octagon.

'The Bad Guy' uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, where he assessed the UFC bantamweight division and the current title picture. He mentioned that O'Malley's next fight will be for the title, but the next title fight won't include him, saying:

"Look, the landscape changes quickly, guys. I could be singing a new tune by this time tomorrow but where it is now, I think Sean's {O'Malley} next fight is for the belt. I don't know that the next time they fight for a belt it's going to include Sean." {8:11 - 8:26}

Based on the current bantamweight rankings, 'Sugar' could very well be next in-line for a title shot and challenge the winner of the rumored Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo bout.
