Henry Cejudo dismisses Aljamain Sterling's win over T.J. Dillashaw

It's no secret that there's no love lost between Henry Cejudo and Aljamain Sterling. The former two-division UFC champion and 'Funk Master' have been trading barbs on social media for a while now.

Henry Cejudo recently responded to a jibe by the current UFC bantamweight champion, where Sterling shared a post indicating that Cejudo would never be a champion again.

The post that 'Aljo' shared was a selfie video of him wearing a bandage with the logo of the UFC belt. Aljamain Sterling said in reference to the bandage that it was the closest that Henry Cejudo would ever come to becoming a champion again.

'Triple C' replied with the following:

"First of all, you like someone ordered Whoopi Goldberg off WISH. You just beat a guy with a bad shoulder and an even worse yeast infection. 2023 is the year of the CRINGE."

With Henry Cejudo entering the testing pool, there are rumors floating around that he may potentially make a comeback to the UFC and challenge Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Aljamain Sterling last fought TJ Dillashaw at UFC 280. 'Funk Master' ended up winning the fight after taking an injured Dillashaw to the ground and finishing him with strikes.

Will Henry Cejudo fight Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title?

With Henry Cejudo rumored to be in the USADA testing pool, there is a good chance that he will make his comeback this year. If he does return, Cejudo could get an immediate title shot and challenge Sterling for the bantamweight title. Aljamain Sterling has said that he will likely face the former champion in March.

Sterling vs. Cejudo is possibly the biggest fight to make in the bantamweight division right now.

Check out Cejudo's video of him training for Sterling:

'Funk Master' is known for his superior grappling abilities, having eight career victories by submission. He has also been able to use his strength against fighters who are primarily strikers like Petr Yan and TJ Dillashaw.

However, Cejudo has Olympic wrestling credentials and could possibly thwart Sterling's grappling advances. The former two-weight champion can also strike, having dispatched fighters like TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz on the feet.

Cejudo last fought Cruz in 2020 at UFC 249, where he beat 'The Dominator' with a knee and punches in the second round, successfully defending his bantamweight title. After winning his bout, Cejudo announced his retirement from the UFC and relinquished his flyweight and bantamweight titles.
