"I don’t want to give false hope" - When ex-UFC fighter Alistair Overeem claimed to have a plan to "change" his transgender child

Alistair Overeem once suggested that he'd implemented a long-term plan devoted to changing the gender identity of his transgender child. Overeem has three children, the oldest of which is Storm, who was born as a cisgender female in Oct. 2006. In 2023, 'The Demolition Man' addressed his relationship with her and indicated that Storm identified as a man.

In an edition of The Trueman Show last year, Overeem addressed various topics while conversing in his native language, Dutch. The former UFC heavyweight star seemingly expressed his disapproval of political extremism and alluded to socio-political elements such as agendas, propaganda, and more.

Overeem implied that his oldest child identified as a transgender male. Apparently, he disagrees with the idea that a person can identify as a gender that differs from that assigned to them at birth. He opined that he's using "understanding and compassion" while dealing with his child and approaching the situation like he would a competition.

'The Demolition Man' further signaled that he's extensively working on changing his child's mind in regard to gender identity. Overeem stated:

"Yes, and my eldest daughter, who is included by the way. So, that's been an interesting challenge. She, yes, she feels like a boy. So that's a very interesting one for me because as I see it, she is absolutely not a boy. Just a girl, just as soft as a girl. But, hey, that's something that has to be dealt with."

Alistair Overeem emphasized that he loves his child and wants his "son/daughter" to be happy. The legendary fighter, who retired from MMA and entered politics in 2023, has adopted a vegan diet for holistic well-being for quite some time.

On that note, Overeem highlighted that diet, trauma, and other factors might've shaped his child's views. He indicated that before undergoing procedures like hormonal therapy and/or gender affirmation surgery, as part of physical gender transition, one should ponder their decisions rather than hastily move forward. Having supposedly sought expert opinions from around the world, he said:

"So, I started looking for other causes. Maybe it's something. Maybe it's this. Maybe it's diet, maybe. Trauma. Anyway, I have a number of things that, yes, I'm going to try to change, so to speak. And then, so to speak, you could heal without surgery, so to speak. Anyway, just for a moment, just take it easy, not too fast, just take it easy. Because I don't want to give false hope or be too premature. That's just not right. Anyway, I'm working on it."

Alistair Overeem believes the extremist left influenced his child's gender identity

In a recent JAXXON podcast, Alistair Overeem asserted that the "woke nonsense" and the "extremist left" caused his child's gender dysphoria. The 44-year-old explained that for years, his child spent long hours on electronic devices every day and was heavily influenced by social media and the other content consumed.

Overeem reiterated that he loves his child and continues working toward reaching a common ground between their respective worldviews. He noted:

"Patience, compassion, learning in that department, but I'm not going to call her a he."
