"Imagine his aimless ramblings at press conferences" - Fans unanimously disagree with the idea of Chael Sonnen taking over as the UFC president once Dana White retires

Chael Sonnen is known as one of the greatest and most captivating personalities in MMA history.

'The American Gangster' is perhaps only rivaled by Conor McGregor and Dominick Cruz in trash talking. Sonnen has an incredibly unique way with words, which has endeared him to many fans.

So much so that one fan on Twitter claimed that Chael Sonnen would be the perfect person to replace Dana White as the UFC president when the current incumbent retires.

@AmyCrx_ tweeted this:

"Honestly, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Chael Sonnen would make a fantastic UFC president when Dana retires."

Despite Chael Sonnen's popularity within most of the MMA community, it seems a sector of fans are fully against the idea of him running the biggest MMA promotion in the world.

With Dana White's recent health improvements, the UFC may not need a replacement for the president for quite some time.

Chael Sonnen has high praise for Israel Adesanya ahead of his clash with Alex Pereira

Chael Sonnen recently broke down the middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira that takes place next weekend at UFC 281.

The clash between the two striking masters is one of the most anticipated matchups of the year. Many feel as though 'Poatan' will be the man to dethrone Adesanya, due to Pereira's incredible power and superb striking.

Furthermore, the fact that 'Poatan' has faced 'The Last Stylebender' twice in the kickboxing ring and defeated him both times adds to fans' expectations that he will defeat Adesanya.

However, whilst breaking down the fight, Sonnen was full of praise for the current middleweight king:

"The highest level of athlete that our sport has to offer is Israel Adesanya. I don't see anybody that can move quite like him. I don't see anybody that can use their natural attributes, such as length. There's a time to get 'ooohs' and 'aaahs' from the crowd, a time to go out and be exciting. But there's a time to hone in and make sure you win. That's what he does."
