#3. Israel Adesanya's UFC 287 outfit gets trashed by fans

Israel Adesanya showed up at the UFC 287 pre-fight press conference in an unconventional get-up. He came donning a white vest and a red printed sarong along with a dog collar around the neck and beaded bracelets on two wrists.

The look was influenced by Jet Li's 2005 action flick 'Unleashed', where the protagonist becomes a fearsome fighter once the collar is taken off. When asked about the accessory, Adesanya gave a similar answer as well.

While some acknowledged his fashion and cultural sense and even identified the dress as a native Polynesian attire, others chose to mock him. Some even compared him with the 'King of Cringe' Henry Cejudo.

#2. Viral tweet about transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox spreads misinformation

Earlier this week, a tweet about transgender fighter Fallon Fox by social media influencer Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis went viral. The tweet claimed that Fox had broken the skull of two different female opponents.

Fallon Fox, a transgender MMA fighter, has now broken 2 female opponents’ skulls. A man beating on women and named “Bravest Athlete” in 2020. The hate for women is real. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallon_Fox https://t.co/wZhh60GdwL

In reality, Fox has cracked the skull of only one of her opponents. Tamikka Brents suffered a broken skull and orbital bone fracture during a TKO loss to Fox in 2014.

The woman in Loupis' tweet, the one with a bloodied-up face on the right-hand side, is former UFC fighter Kay Hansen, who currently fights at Invicta FC. Hansen was quick to take to Twitter to debunk the claims made in the viral tweet:

"No she didn’t, lol. I never fought Fallon Fox. I’ll say it once, and I’ll say it again. Stop using my photo [from a completely different fight] to push your personal agenda. Check your facts before you spread misinformation."

Fox also took to Instagram to protest against the misinformation and blamed it on the conservatives. Read her post here.

#1. Joe Rogan furious at mainstream media

Joe Rogan has had a bitter-sweet relationship with the mainstream media, especially from the COVID-19 era onwards. On multiple occasions, he has hit out at media outlets, especially CNN, for a variety of reasons.

At the moment, he is angry and confused about the media coverage that the Nashville school shooter's gender is getting.

After the horrific tragedy at the Covenant School, perpetrator Audrey Hale was revealed to be a transgender woman and a former pupil of the school. The 28-year-old shot and killed three adults and three children before being gunned down by the police.

There has been controversy surrounding pronoun usage while referring to the shooter and whether or not they're being misgendered.

According to the UFC commentator, it does not matter what Hale's gender is and the media should not focus on it as much:

"It doesn't matter if you call it a boy or a girl, that's a dead person who killed three children and three adults in a horrific way. They went into a school and shot them up. It's a biological male. Almost all shooters in general are biological males."
