Jake Paul talks about a potential Mike Perry fight due to Tommy Fury "running" from him

Mike Perry might get a boxing fight with Jake Paul after all, as the YouTuber-turned-boxer revealed that negotiations with Tommy Fury have been difficult.

Perry posted a picture on Twitter saying that he signed a contract, but Paul changed his mind. 'The Problem Child' has since posted a video addressing his talks with Fury and mentioned that he might fight 'Platinum' instead, saying:

"Mike Perry, it might be your lucky year because Tommy {Fury} is running again. If the fans only knew how much money I was offering Tommy and he's still ducking me. It's pretty sad."

The former UFC fighter tweeted that he is more than capable of doing well in boxing and believes that he can beat any fighter at 175-185lbs. He is currently competing in bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC, but would clearly be willing to showcase his skills in boxing, writing:

"I fought a 27-3 pro boxer, I am currently 3-0 in the last two years as a boxer. I am a boxer and Can beat any boxer/fighter at 175-185. Give me a real boxing match and I prove it. Cuz we know they not stepping in @bareknucklefc with me. ASAP too !"

Paul is expected to fight next month, so if negotiations with Fury fall through again, he could turn his attention to Mike Perry or even Nate Diaz. It will be interesting to see what timeline he has in terms of competing in 2023 as it wouldn't be surprising if he begins MMA training immediately after his next fight.

Jake Paul to make his MMA debut in the PFL this year

Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Welcome to the Professional Fighters League @jakepaul https://t.co/pgMDUprK6S

Jake Paul made headlines as he officially signed with the PFL and will be making his MMA debut this year.

The announcement came as a bit of a surprise as he has been targeting bouts with UFC fighters like Paddy Pimblett and is joining a different promotion. It remains to be seen who he will be fighting and when he will be debuting for the MMA league.

'The Problem Child' offered a two-fight deal to former TUF winner Nate Diaz to compete once in boxing and their second bout in the PFL. That could be the type of fight he pursues rather than fighting an opponent with a 0-0 record.

Jake Paul announced on social he will be fighting in the PFL and that he offered Nate Diaz a two-fight deal.

The offer includes a boxing match, then six months later a fight in the PFL. https://t.co/tF3c3Oxbzm
