Jared Cannonier vs. Sean Strickland: Who has more UFC finishes?
Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland will meet in the main event at UFC Vegas 66 this weekend. The two fighters are well-known in the organization, both having featured in high-profile bouts during their careers. However, Cannonier has proved to be the more dangerous fighter between the two middleweights.
'Killa Gorilla' has stopped six of his opponents in the UFC, including his injury stoppage victory against Anderson Silva in the first round at UFC 237: Namajunas vs. Andrade.
Cannonier's opponent, Sean Strickland, has only managed to end four of his UFC outings early, with the American mainly winning via decision in the organization. Strickland submitted Bubba McDaniel upon debuting in the UFC and has gone on to finish Alex Garcia, Brendan Allen, and Nordine Taleb.

Jared Cannonier's most recent stoppage came against Derek Brunson at UFC 271: Adesanya vs. Whittaker 2. 'Killa Gorilla' defeated Brunson via stoppage in the second round but went on to lose against Israel Adesanya in his latest outing.
Strickland has gone a long time without a stoppage victory, with the American's last stoppage win coming back in 2020. Brendan Allen didn't manage to get past the second round when taking on Strickland at UFC Fight Night: Felder vs. Dos Anjos.

Jared Cannonier vs. Sean Strickland: Are both fighters currently on a losing streak?
Yes. As mentioned, Jared Cannonier recently lost against Israel Adesanya at UFC 276. However, his upcoming opponent, Sean Strickland, also lost his latest outing when taking on Alex Pereira.
The Brazilian managed to finish the bout inside the very first round, with Strickland suffering a vicious knockout against the kickboxing legend. There is no shame in losing against Pereira, with 'Poatan' currently the middleweight champion after beating Adesanya.
The two middleweights are both used to fighting in big fights, having faced some of the toughest fighters in the organization. Cannonier has fought Israel Adesanya, Derek Brunson, and Kelvin Gastelum in his last three UFC outings.
Strickland has taken on Alex Pereira, Jack Hermansson, and Uriah Hall in his most recent fights. Only Pereira managed to beat the American during this run, proving that Cannonier will have a very tough test this weekend.
