Joe Rogan and Bret Weinstein talk about the dangers of ChatGPT and artificial intelligence

Joe Rogan is well known for discussing every single topic under the sun on his podcast. The UFC commentator and pundit recently sat down with American author Bret Weinstein to talk about the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, mainly ChatGPT. Weinstein spoke about the effects the AI software being open to the internet could have, and also how dangerous it is:

"But I have to say, I am quite alarmed, not only that this thing exists, but I don't think we're ready for it. And I don't think we're ready for it in a couple different ways. I mean if you wanna comfort yourself and say that this isn't that serious that we have this AI that can do these really shocking things. The comforting thing is that the way it's programmed, it doesn't know what it's saying."

Weinstein went on to talk about how we do not know the extent of ChatGPT's potential and how it has gotten very good at predicting outcomes of certain things. He said that if it gets complete access to the internet, then its potential is limitless. Another point the author put across to Joe Rogan is that the AI could generate a conscience in the same way a toddler does during the developmental stages.

Weinstein believes we are not ready for Artificial Intelligence yet because we do not know enough about it and its potential.

Joe Rogan reacts to Jordan Peterson having to undergo mandatory social media retraining

Jordan Peterson, a psychologist and speaker, recently revealed that he was asked to undergo mandatory social media communication retraining. The Ontario College of Psychologists decided to revoke the social media personality's psychology license if he does not undergo social media retraining for having dissenting views regarding Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Here's what Joe Rogan had to say about it:

"He (Jordan Peterson) getting in trouble for retweeting some person who was critical of Justin Trudeau. Whatever board of psychologists that they have in Ontario is bringing him in for disciplinary discussions and I think they want him to be involved in some sort of class."

Jordan Peterson revealed that his license to practice psychology was under threat for criticizing Justin Trudeau. Joe Rogan was shocked as to how the Canadian government can ask someone to change their views just because they go against the person in power.
