Joe Rogan claims Jorge Masvidal would be "dangerous" for a prime Georges St-Pierre

Joe Rogan recently claimed that Jorge Masvidal and other top welterweights in the modern era would've given UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre a real run for his money.

St-Pierre is regarded as one of the greatest 170-pounders in UFC history. A two-division champion with nine title defenses under his belt, 'Rush' dominated the 170-pound weight class from 2007-2013.

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience (#1956), Rogan spoke about some of the greatest welterweights of all time and discussed how actively competing welterweights would've been tougher matchups for 'GSP' than the welterweight contenders of the previous generation.

The UFC commentator told his guest Luke Combs:

"You look at GSP’s victories, he beat some very good guys, but I think the guys Kamaru Usman beat- Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Tyron Woodley, I think they are better... I think if Masvidal was around at that time he would be dangerous for everybody, I think he is on another level. I think everyone is on another level... He is a f***king assassin. Masvidal is a gangster.”

Joe Rogan says Jon Jones' case for being the GOAT is undeniable

On the same episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan weighed in on Jon Jones' legacy after his recent victory.

Jones is undoubtedly one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon, and his dominant victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 to claim the heavyweight strap solidified his legacy even further.

'Bones' became the promotion's youngest champion at just 23 years old after defeating Mauricio Rua in a light heavyweight bout via third-round TKO in March 2011. All 15 of his fights after he was crowned champion were title fights, and he won them all, except the TKO win over Daniel Cormier which was later overturned to a no-contest.

Speaking to country singer Luke Combs, Joe Rogan proclaimed that Jones' case for being the greatest fighter of all time is now "undeniable":

"Jon Jones is the GOAT. Now, it’s undeniable. There was all this debate until he submitted Ciryl Gane and became the heavyweight champion. No one can f*** with that. Jon Jones has been wrestling since he was 12 years old... You’d have to be the freakiest of freak athletes to compete with that guy.”
