"He's the best play-by-play guy in the history of the sport" - Joe Rogan looks back at Jon Anik's iconic bit of commentary moments before Leon Edwards' title win

Joe Rogan recently showed love to his UFC colleague Jon Anik during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

Anthony Kiedis, lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers, appeared on the podcast last week and the pair discussed the greatness of Jon Anik. They specifically referred to his ability to time his words to perfection, such as during the Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman fight at UFC 278.

Rogan went as far as to label him the GOAT of play-by-play commentary in MMA, highlighting the dedication that Anik has for his craft:

"Jon Anik was just saying it's not in Leon's nature to quit, and then he lands that head kick... He's the best play-by-play guy in the history of the sport. He's the best. He's the most informed, the most in tune, he's the smoothest. He is a f***ing master."

Joe Rogan believes that if Jake Paul wasn't a YouTuber he would be taken more seriously

Joe Rogan recently previewed the upcoming boxing match between MMA legend Anderson Silva and Jake Paul.

The experience of 'The Spider' will go up against the hunger and youth of 'The Problem Child'. Both men enter this fight on the back of knockout wins and will no doubt be full of confidence.

The bout has left many wondering about the outcome. Despite Silva's obvious skill advantage, Rogan believes that Paul is not to be taken lightly. The UFC commentator feels that if 'The Problem Child' had never been a YouTuber then he would have been given more credibility:

"Jake Paul is a big, heavy-handed young guy. And if Jake Paul was just a boxer, and not a YouTuber, I think people would take him very seriously. You have to take him very seriously. He knocked out Tyron Woodley with one punch. He's legit as f**k."

Joe Rogan refrained from sharing a prediction for the fight, where a winner is tough to pick.

Silva has far more skill and experience than Paul. However, many have overlooked 'The Problem Child' like Rogan said. Should 'The Spider' make that mistake, he may find himself in trouble.
