John Kavanagh, Ireland's first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and coach to UFC superstars Conor McGregor, Ais Daly, Paddy Holohan, Chris Fields and Cathal Pendred, will make attendance at Brave 9 hosted by Bahrain on 17 November. He will be accompanying athletes from Straight Blast Gym Ireland who will be competing at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.

Athletes from Straight Blast Gym Ireland had been actively involved in events promoted by Brave Combat Federation and in the ninth edition of the event there will be two athletes who will be featured on the fight night.

Frans Mlambo and Daniele Scatizzi will be featured on the fight night. Mlambo (3-2-0) will face Michael Deiga-Scheck (5-2-0) from Germany in a featherweight bout. Mlambo is one among the training partners who joined Conor McGregor prior to his bout against Floyd Mayweather.

Mlambo is a former IMMAF world amateur MMA gold medalist and team representative for Bahrain’s KHK MMA. Mlambo finished his amateur career with a sweep of four victories to claim the IMMAF 145lb gold medal at the 2015 IMMAF Amateur World Championships in Las Vegas, USA.

Daniele Scatizzi, on the other hand, will be taking on Charlie Leary (13-8-1). Daniele is one of the leading prospects from Italy who is training at Straight Blast Gym under the attention of John Kavanagh. With 21 professional bouts and 13 wins, Leary is one of the most successful and experienced mixed martial artists from the United Kingdom who held four different titles on the local mixed martial arts circuit.

Leary was a part of one of the best first-round fights of the year featuring Ottman Azaitar during Brave 4: Unstoppable. Both fighters are coming after a defeat in their debut matchups and looking for an inevitable victory.

So far, Mlambo is the only prospect from the gym that trains Conor McGregor to secure a victory at Brave Combat Federation. It is inevitable for one of the best MMA gyms in the world to redefine their record at Brave Combat Federation, and this also makes the visit by the head coach of Straight Blast Gym critical at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.
