Can Donald Trump turn Khamzat Chimaev's UFC fate around
In a recent interview with Adam Zubayraev, Khamzat Chimaev hinted that his U.S. visa issues could be the reason he is not getting a definitive UFC title shot. However, he hopes that he can return to America if Donald Trump is re-elected as the president in the 2024 elections and can finally fight for a UFC belt.
'Borz' said [Via YouTube translation]:
"Every time they promise me the contender. The first time it was supposed to be a title shot, but it didn’t happen. Then with Usman, it was supposed to be a title shot, but it didn’t happen. Now, for the third time... We’ll see, I hope they give it."
Chimaev continued:
"As long as Donald Trump hasn’t returned to America, we can't come back to the US... But I’m not upset; wherever they let me fight, I’ll fight. If not, I'll be a champion without a belt."

Israel Adesanya bets $10,000 on Anthony Joshua
Israel Adesanya has placed a $10,000 bet on Anthony Joshua through Stake ahead of the latter's IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois. The two have been spotted sharing backstage moments before at combat sports events. They share a common Nigerian lineage and Yoruba heritage.
The betting slip shared by Adesanya on Instagram revealed that he picked Joshua to win between the 10th and 12th rounds. If his prediction comes true, the UFC star will get to cash out $50,000.
The high-profile boxing match, backed by Saudi Arabia's His Excellency (HE) Turki Alalshikh-led Riyadh Season, will take place on Sept. 21, 2024, at the Wembley Stadium in England. Nearly 96,000 fans are expected to attend, breaking the British boxing attendance record.
Max Holloway speaks up against gun violence
Max Holloway recently spoke with Hawaii's KHON2 news outlet on the rampant gun violence issues in the U.S. The UFC star urged that young people should settle matters the "old school way" in case of a disagreement, like in a sparring session at the gym, instead of opening fire at each other:
"Put the guns down boys and all. Just put them down. You guys got a problem, do it the old-school way and go to a boxing gym, put some gloves on and punch each other, then shake hands."
Holloway continued:
"Stop violence. Go to the gym, go lift weights. Throw weight, play video games. They want to shoot somebody, go play Apex [Legends] or Call of Duty or something like that. Keep the violence off the streets."
