"Like getting hit with a bat" - Fans laud Jonathan Haggerty's power ahead of Denver super fight against Superlek
After six fights in the ONE flyweight Muay Thai division and claiming the division's world title, Jonathan Haggerty decided to move up to the bigger weight class in November 2022 when he fought Vladimir Kuzmin in a 148-pound catchweight bout at ONE on Prime Video 4.
One of Haggerty's best moments during that fight was reposted by ONE Championship on Instagram, and they captioned the post with:
"Always one step ahead ☝️ Can Jonathan Haggerty outstrike Superlek on September 6 when he defends the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 168: Denver? 👑 @jhaggerty_"
In the video, the 27-year-old British superstar landed a perfect roundhouse kick to the face which snapped Kuzmin's head back and stunned him. This display of top-level technique and power by Haggerty received the highest praise from fans, as users @lordk1900, @ang.ako, @erayyaalcin, @keepsilence710, @sottishsamurai, and @jaxandkicks commented:
