Logan Paul fighting in the UFC was "entertained" by Dana White

Despite Dana White's well-documented rivalry with Jake Paul, the 53-year-old UFC president is in favor of 'The Problem Child's' older brother Logan Paul fighting in the world's premier MMA promotion.

During a recent segment on Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast, the social media star told legendary ring announcer Bruce Buffer about his desire to compete in the octagon.

Responding to Paul, Buffer was quick to point out that the UFC president has already entertained the idea of him fighting for the promotion:

"[If you want to fight in the UFC] you've got to go to the powers of be. I thought Dana [White] entertained the fact. Whatever his relationship with your brother [Jake Paul] is but when it comes to you, he has entertained the fact."

Although 'The Maverick' has never fought in the octagon, he does have combat sports experience. Paul has one pro-boxing outing and even fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. to a draw in an exhibition boxing bout.

Interestingly, Paul is now an official sponsor of the UFC, with his sports drink PRIME recently becoming the official sports drink of the promotion.

The three-year deal will reportedly bring in a high seven figures for the UFC annually. Interestingly, Logan's brother Jake Paul has a long-standing beef with the UFC regarding fighter pay. 'The Problem Child' constantly takes jibes at Dana White, accusing him of underpaying the fighters.

When Logan Paul fought Paulo Costa and got KO'd

Although Logan Paul is yet to join the pro-MMA ranks, he has already been knocked out by a UFC fighter.

In 2020, the social media celebrity sparred with former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa at the UFC Performance Institute. Unsurprisingly, 'Borrachinha', who is used to flatlining seasoned professionals, didn't take long to land the knockout blow on Paul.

However, the YouTuber recovered and went on to do a grappling session with the Brazilian. Although the difference in skill and conditioning was evident, Paul didn't seem as outmatched in wrestling as he did in striking.

Again, not a surprise. A little-known fact about the 27-year-old is that he used to be quite a talented wrestler in high school and college. He even qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division I Individual Championships in 2013.
