UFC News: Mickey Gall says CM Punk shouldn't be fighting in the UFC
hen speaking to TMZ, Mickey Gall, said that he doesn’t think CM Punk should fight in the UFC again. He said that he respected the former WWE Superstars drive but feels he should have tried his luck in another promotion before. Here’s what he had to say:
"I respect that. I don't know – it's not my place to say. I don't know if he should be fighting in the UFC. I think he probably should've fought elsewhere first. But I respect that he wants to get back at it and go for it, so hats off to him."

CM Punk was submitted within the first round of his fight against Mickey Gall, without getting even a punch in. In an interview with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, Punk says that he wanted to fight again in the UFC, and told Dana that if he were to be cut off, he would completely understand it.
However, he had a conversation with Dana about it, and the final call is up to him. He said that he is ready for another fight and would like to have one around February or March.
Regarding his defeat to Gall, Punk said that he didn't watch the tape of his crushing loss because he knew what went wrong. He also said that he went back to training just two days later at Roufusport in Milwaukee, Wisconson. Roufusport is where UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Gall’s next opponent, Sage Northcutt, train.
Mickey Gall called out Sage Northcutt after his victory over Punk, and the two are set to face off at UFC On Fox 22, which is headlined by Strawweight contenders Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson. Another notable bout on the card is Urijah Faber against Brad Pickett. The latter bout will be Faber’s final one of his MMA career.
