UFC Champion thinks Holly Holm could've possibly beaten Ronda Rousey into retirement

End of the road for Rousey?

Even after a convincing victory over Rousey, Holly cannot stop her from being more in the limelight across all forms of media for good and bad reasons.

Her defeat has brought out many a silent haters to come up and bad mouth Rousey. Prominent people from different walks of life did not miss out on the opportunity to vent out what they felt about the former champ.

Even the U.S billionaire and presidential candidate Donald Trump took a dig at her by tweeting that she got what she deserved because she wasn’t a nice person.

Rousey’s ex-manager has also gone out and given a similar statement. Laila Ali, ( daughter of Muhammed Ali and former boxing title holder in multiple divisions) too quipped to a journalist that a fighter who gets beaten that bad in her prime can never be called the greatest.

Support came in the form of Mike Tyson who claimed that the champ would win back her title. Dana White too said that she just had a bad day and that she’d be back. The most potent remark, however, came from the featherweight champion Jose Aldo who believes that this is probably the end for Rousey and that it was highly unlikely that she’d return to fighting.

He compared her fate to that of Gina Carano who quit MMA after her undefeated streak was ended by Cris Cyborg, after which she turned to acting. Rousey too has been prominently taking to her acting career and this is what Aldo feels she’s going to resort to.

The champs statement would not have been given heed to had Rousey or Dana spoken about her return or the rematch. The fact that they are both silent on the issue evidently stipulates that Rousey isn’t looking to make her comeback anytime soon.

Now if this just going to be a short break or an early retirement is what we’ll have to wait and watch.
