MMA News: Big news for Christmas- Ronda Rousey's possible return!

Finally, Rowdy is set to return to the Octagon again!

The sport of mixed martial arts in which the UFC holds the monopoly has been soaring to the top with UFC’s big cards. Fans were fed with some great cards this year, not to overlook the return of Brock Lesnar, the rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, the debut of CM Punk and a lot more.

And it looks UFC has planned its Christmas well in advance . With the announcement of big matches and epic comebacks like that of the Beast being a regular feature, the company has played the game of balanced marketing throughout the year, sparing the greatest battle for the year-end.

Bits of gossip appear to transform into certainties as we learn that a legend of the sport is near to enter the gates of the Octagon once again. The UFC has planned to end this calendar year with a bang – Ronda Rousey’s return!

The much speculated questions on her confidence that she possessed prior to her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 – her stand-up skill set and possible ring rust, will all be answered when she will face Amanda Nunes in a possible bout at UFC 207 on December 30th, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

To support the possibility, UFC President Dana White has thrown some hope for Ronda’s fans by saying, “There is a great chance of Ronda fighting Amanda Nunes and I am very confident that Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year,” he told the Brazilian publication Combate.

The immediate title fight that had been guaranteed by UFC upon Rousey’s return has been opposed by many including Boxing journalist Max Kellerman, who had a personal debate with White regarding Ronda’s confidence after her knockout loss to Holm. An easy fight for Ronda to test the waters and shed off the ring rust would be a good way to reconstruct her mindset for the title picture.

However, the UFC appears to be eager on granting Rousey – their biggest draw, with an immediate rematch. She has never faced Nunes but has defeated Cat Zingano, who has in turn beaten Nunes in the past. Also, the Arm-Collector has also beaten Miesha Tate twice who had choked out Holly Holms.
