Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone once shared a short bond of friendship!

Now they can’t stand each other.

Conor Mcgregor is one of the most outspoken and straightforward fighters in the UFC. There is no telling who ‘The Notorious’ might target but when he does, he does it in style. Lately, Donald Cerrone has been shooting on McGregor trying to seek his attention.

The two had exchanged some heat during one of the press conferences and things seem to be pretty intense between them at the moment. But one would be surprised to know that the duo had shared a bond of friendship for a short period of time.

Back during the inception of McGregor’s stardom, Cerrone and Mcgregor fought on the same card, UFC Fight Night Boston. The interaction between the two was shown on UFC Embedded.

The two had a friendly casual talk that is unexpected these days:

“It’s f—king freezing,” Cerrone told McGregor after the two shook hands.

“Yeah, it’s fresh,” McGregor said.

McGregor then asked Cerrone, “How’s the body? Ready to go again,” This was asked in reference to Cerrone’s health condition as he had just fought two weeks prior against Myles Jury at UFC 182.

“Good, good. Gotta get that money motherf—ker,” Cerrone told McGregor in a playful tone.

“Yes, yes. It’s all about that money.” McGregor said.

“All about da money!” Cowboy repeated as he chuckled.

Just before leaving the room Cerrone turned back at McGregor and gave The Notorious a small piece of advice- “Give em Hell,” before walking away from the room.

The interaction happens around the 3 minute mark in the video below:

Since then McGregor is enjoying success in his career as well as his financial status. Cerrone on the other hand, despite showing up on short notices and fighting more than three times a year, occasionally five times, has complained about his paychecks being way less than he is worth to the UFC.
