MMA News: Georges St-Pierre aims at UFC 206. Ready to run over T-Woodley to get his title back!

Will he be smiling at UFC 206?

One of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, Georges ‘Rush’ St- Pierre, expressed his desire to make his return to the Octagon on an episode of UFC Tonight. Rush spoke out his plans for his returns, citing that he would like to face current UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at UFC 206 in Toronto, Canada.

Being a Canadian hometown hero, his comeback fight can generate a lot of PPV sales for the UFC, especially if St-Pierre is granted his title fight with Woodley in Toronto. Former foe Nick Diaz and new divisional star Damian Maia are other possible opponents on his list according to Mmajunkie.com.

“These guys can elevate me,” St-Pierre said. “They’re not necessarily guys I’m supposed to beat. ...To get far in this game, it’s not about who’s got the biggest balls. It’s straight line. You’ve got to know who you’ve got to beat.”

T-Woodley has made it clear that his desire for a money fight overrides the thought of facing welterweight top contender Stephan ‘Wonderboy’ Thomson. Nick Diaz is also an option, states the champ, when it comes to big money fights.

The UFC President Dana White criticized one of his biggest money-making stars, St-Pierre, for showing the lack of hunger to be a champion once again. To these comments, the former champion responded;

“He doesn’t know anything about me,” St-Pierre said. “I’m a smart guy. I’m not the kind of guy. Oh, I’m not going to fight for peanuts. Let me fight once and you’ll see in the first minute of the fight that he’s wrong.  Let me fight Tyron Woodley then. We’ll see if I don’t want to be champion again.”
