MMA News: Dan Henderson hopes for a rematch with Michael Bisping
After a back and forth battle with Hector Lombard, Dan Henderson managed to land a big elbow to take home a sweet Knockout victory at UFC 199.
The very same night the MMA world witnessed a true cinderella story when the Britain’s own Michael Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold en route becoming the new UFC Middleweight Champion. Bisping’s hard work of over ten years had finally paid off.
With both the fighters enjoying their respective wins, the world wants them to fight for the middleweight title next. Henderson’s win has made him 2-1 in his last three fights and the manner of his win over Lombard has left the MMA community to believe that he deserves the next title shot.
And new UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping tends to agree.
Hendo states that win or lose, his possible title fight with Bisping will be his last before he hangs up his gloves forever.
Hendo has previously handed Bisping a loss that came way via a brutal knockout, which still haunts the Count to this day. Bisping himself has stated that he would love to get that one back, now that he is champion.
On the other hand the former Pride champion, Henderson, will be the oldest champion if he defeats Bisping and wins the title.
Henderson is one of the most renowned fighters who has won numerous accolades including the Pride Welterweight and Middleweight Championships, and later also won the Strikeforce Lightheavyweight Championship to add to his bag of belts.
The only title he hasn’t bagged is a UFC championship.
