MMA News: Jose Aldo is willing to enter the Octagon only to tap out immediately to end his contract ASAP!

Aldo as serious as ever!

The former featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo has been complaining recently regarding the functioning of the UFC and how it has been treating him.

He’s been threatening the company that he will leave the organisation and retire. But UFC President Dana White has refused to terminate his contract on his request. Now Aldo has decided to take the extreme step.

According to Bloodyelbow.com, Aldo said:

"If they release me, that would be great, but if not, what can we do? I have other projects and that depends on this meeting we're having with them. If I want to retire, no contract can stop me. I can go there and say (I'm retired) and they can't force me to fight. A lawyer already looked at the contract, but I don't want to fight (the UFC in court). I don't want anything. Ah, you want me to fight MMA again? So I'll get in there and tap right away, and the fight is over. I'd do it quickly. What I really want is other things for my life,"

Aldo is scheduled to attend a meeting on October 19 to discuss concerns regarding his contract and his future in the UFC, as he hopes for a smoother discussion.

“Dana White can offer whatever he wants. I started getting demotivated way back when I lost the belt. I think due to the fact that I’d been the champion for so long, I was entitled to an immediate rematch. They didn’t give me that, and made me fight Frankie Edgar even though I didn’t want to fight anymore.”

The Interim Champion was guaranteed an immediate title shot after his loss to McGregor but the UFC never gave him the rematch as the company gave McGregor leeway to experiment in higher weight classes, forcing Aldo to fight Frankie Edgar for the Interim Title.

Jose Aldo is one the legends of the sport. Ever since he became the WEC Featherweight champion he has been one of the most dominant figures of the sport. When WEC was bought by UFC he immediately promoted from WEC champion to the inaugural UFC Featherweight Champion.

The Brazilian lost his UFC title to Conor McGregor which was one of the biggest upset in the sport, as he got knocked by the Irish in 13seconds. He never lost since 2005 when he lost in a smaller promotion.
