MMA News: Kimbo Slice passes away
Popular YouTube sensation and Bellator fighter Kimbo Slice has passed away at the age of 42, hours after being admitted to a hospital near his residence in Coral Springs, Florida. Kimbo, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, shot to fame with his backyard brawling videos that went viral on YouTube in 2003.
Kimbo has since ventured into sanctioned and legitimate MMA, even taking part in the Ultimate Fighter reality show, before fighting in the UFC. At the time of his passing, he was signed to Bellator MMA, having last fought Dada 5000 in February of this year at Bellator 149.
More details regarding his death have yet to be released.
