Former light heavyweight champion Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua has announced that he will be retiring from the sport after his bout against Ihor Potieria at UFC 283 in front of his compatriots in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
During an interview with Combate, Rua opened up about his decision to retire from the sport and confirmed that his upcoming fight will be his last:
"It's definitely my last fight... And I don't put pressure on me anymore. My obligation is to give my best, and that's what I think about."

#2. Conor McGregor praises Zion Clark after successful professional MMA debut
Conor McGregor has nothing but good things to say about the inspirational MMA fighter Zion Clark.
Clark, a former collegiate wrestler born without legs, recently found success in his professional MMA debut against Eugene Murray.
The incredible feat wasn't lost on McGregor, who took to Twitter to congratulate the American fighter. Reacting to Clark's unanimous decision victory, 'The Notorious' wrote:
"Absolutely legendary!"

#1. UFC featherweight takes a shot at Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has recently turned into the biggest villain among the MMA community owing to his sponsorship deal with the UFC and Under Armour.
Johnson recently caught more stray bullets, this time from UFC featherweight standout Bill Algeo.
The 33-year-old fighter recently taunted Johnson, who announced that he won't be reprising his role in the movie Black Adam. 'The Rock' sent out an emotional message to his fans and said that any plans for a sequel have been put on indefinite hold.
