MMA News: Miesha Tate proves that she is a true hero outside the Octagon

Miesha Tate extends a helping hand!

The athleticism of former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate was put to test when she met a family with an injured child while hiking. Miesha Tate, who’s a sweetheart outside the Octagon, offered to carry the kid down the Mary Jane Falls on Mount Charleston in Nevada.

Yet another accomplishment of her’ that will win the hearts on many!

While hiking on Sunday, Tate came across this beautiful family that was struggling to carry their little 6-year old who had been injured and that’s when Tate came to the rescue. She carried the kid all the way down the road just so that the little girl could receive some medical treatment to fix her arm.

If you think fighters are bad people, well, think again!

Miesha Tate spoke about the entire incident on social media via Facebook and Instagram-

Tear jerker! Meet Kai the sweet little girl that kept me company down the mountain side, very upbeat despite her broken arm. And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career. And I also want to make a point that I have been told many times that I am "too buff" or "manly" that I should stop lifting weights, that it's "gross" and not attractive for a woman. I am so happy I never listened to the limitations others wanted to put on me and I hope that our youth knows that don't have to conform. That strength and beauty come from within! #BeStrong #BeCapable #BeWhatYouWant #NoRegrets #JustLove #PayItForward #GiveBack #Inspire

The UFC star also told her followers that the little girl chose Miesha over her mother to carry her down the hill. She admits having learnt a lot from the little one and made it to the bottom of the hills without any trouble.

The father of the 6-year-old also took the privilege of posting about the incident on Instagram -

Such a crazy labor day weekend for our family but ended in such an amazing and beautiful way. My poor Kai broke her arm at the top of the Mary Jane Falls hike at Mt Charleston. So @mommapook and I basically had to carry her down miles ahead. To our rescue and assistance came the amazing @mieshatate the UFC fighter. She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family cant thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner. Thank you again #mieshatate

Without the slightest hint, we can tell that the girl’s parents must be very grateful to the former UFC champion for being too kind and helpful. Such a display of simplicity and kindness will definitely fetch her another half a million fans. Tate is spending her time away from the sport after her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 200.
