MMA News: Bids to buy the UFC range from $3.9 to $4.2 billion
UFC is one of the biggest sports enterprises and the most prominent in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Tons of people around the world subscribe and watch the fights, resulting in generating lots of income for the company.
Recently multiple business organizations have approached UFC for purchasing the company for a lucrative amount. The bids have hiked to a range from $3.9 billion to $4.2billion according to Mmafighting.com. The two groups that have come forward with the bids are WME-IMG (in conjunction with Dalian Wanda Group) and China Media Capital.
UFC President Dana White, on the other hand, has shot down these claims, retorting that the company isn’t for sale and is only looking forward to expand the business.
"Obviously, if I'm in the middle of a deal right now, there's a lot of confidentiality involved in it," White said on The Dan Patrick Show at the time. "We're working on expanding. We're working on growing the company and moving into other territories like China and Japan, Korea. So, yeah, we're always working on deals.
The owner of NFL team New England Patriot, Kraft Group owned by Robert Kraft, is an investor for WME-IMG group. An official from Kraft has denied these comments of any purchase of the MMA company. However, Dana White is a friend of Robert Craft and is have been spotted together at the Patriot games
UFC was bought by casino owners Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, both worth around $1.5 billion each. But sources state that the bidders are keen on keeping White on his chair.
Joe Rogan, on the other hand, stated that if the UFC is sold, he would part ways with the company.
