MMA Rumours: Dominick Cruz possibly scheduled for a final showdown of the year at UFC 207

‘Cruz-ing’ all the way!

The Dominator Dominick Cruz made his comeback at the beginning of this year to regain the UFC Bantamweight title after dominating TJ Dillashaw. Now the two-time champ is set to return to action on a day prior to New Year’s eve at UFC 207.

For a few weeks, UFC bantamweight prospect, Cody Garbrandt has been trying to talk his way to a title shot as he feels he is the rightful contender. According to Bjpenn.com, the fight between the two is likely to turn into a reality for Christmas. But no reports from the UFC have confirmed any such speculations.

‘No Love’ Garbrandt holds an impressive record of 10 wins and no losses in his MMA career, with five of them taking place inside the Octagon. Cruz, on the other hand, is willing to fight him and has stated that he has what it takes to break Garbrandt down.

Dominick Cruz had last defended his title against his long-time rival, Urijah Faber, thus ending the rivalry with a title victory. He is the inaugural UFC bantamweight champion and is the only fighter to win the title on two occasions.

He will fight for the third time in this year at UFC 207 which will be held at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The main event for the event will be Amanda Nunes vs Ronda Rousey for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship.
