UFC Fight Night 85 Results: Mark Hunt Enjoys Walkoff KO, Magny Stuns Lombard

Another KO for Mark Hunt

While the UFC fans were still pretty much in the hangover of UFC 196, the organization delivered yet another successful show through Fight Night 85. The show, held at Brisbane lived up to all the expectations and gave the fans some interesting results.

The main event saw a heavyweight battle between Mark Hunt and Frank Mir. The New Zealand-born Hunt dominated the match and had another walk off Knockout when he stunned Mir in the first round itself. The bout took only three minutes to end and it was a right-hand punch from Hunt that did the job perfectly.

Elsewhere, in the co-main event, Neil Magny secured one of the biggest wins of his career when he defeated Hector Lombard via a technical knockout. Lombard, who enjoyed some dominance in the first round, was grounded in the second by Magny.

Magny delivered a string of unanswered shots to the head of Lombard throughout the second and third round to win the match. There were questions raised about the officiating as referee Steve Perceval did not stop the match despite Lombard suffering numerous blows to the head in the second round.

The other major result of the day came thanks to Australian Daniel Kelly. He defeated Antonio Carlos Junior through an epic comeback. Junior dominated the first two rounds but Kelly made an insane comeback to get an upset TKO win in the third round.
