UFC/Boxing News: Mayweather says he spoke to UFC President Dana White regarding a fight with McGregor
Ever since Floyd Mayweather retired, boxing and MMA fans have been longing for a super fight between the undefeated boxer and the poster boy of UFC, Conor McGregor.
The talks of the two mega stars clashing in the boxing ring have been online for a few months now. In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather revealed that he had a conversation with Dana White regarding a match with The Notorious one.
McGregor recently acquired a boxing license in the state of California. But Mayweather feels that McGregor doesn’t want to fight him at all but is only trying to draw constant media attention and gain more followers.
As per the reports of Bjpenn.com, this is what the money man of boxing had to say:
“I’m gonna tell you like this. He’s blowing smoke up everybody’s ass. He don’t really wanna fight because I went to his boss and I’m gonna tell everybody and I’m gonna came and break it to you. He’s just wanted to keep himself good, keep his name alive, you know what I’m saying? To stay relevant. He don’t really wanna fight. He’s doing that to build his followers. He’s smart.”

The five-division boxing champion also said that the UFC fighter is excellent at marketing himself but warned The Notorious one that he would slap the s**t out of him, the next time he sees the Irishman.
Mayweather hasn’t mentioned what White had to say during their conversation. But the UFC President in the past has remained adamant on having Mayweather fight McGregor in the Octagon rather than in a boxing ring.
McGregor, on the other hand, has claimed to have no problem switching sports and is ready to take on Mayweather in a boxing ring.
