More Dana White backlash, CM Punk on wrestling being "fake," Bully Ray wants apology, more

Dana White has stirred up a hornet’s nest with his latest attack on social media

As noted, UFC President Dana White has been receiving some backlash from wrestlers over calling pro wrestling "fake s--t" when discussing the cost of UFC pay-per-views as opposed to WWE shows. Dana wrote on Twitter, "...fake sh-t should be 9.99... not disrespecting what they do. All the WWE guys I have met are awesome people but yes it's fake."

Taz noted on Twitter when replying to one of our tweets that he skipped last night's UFC 190 show due to Dana's comments.

Bully Ray has also been vocal about Dana's comments on Twitter and asked for the UFC President to apologize:

A lot of people have been asking how CM Punk would feel over Dana's comments. I doubt he'd be that upset, as he has called pro wrestling "fake" in the past, including when talking to Sports Illustrated last April about getting into MMA.

"In pro wrestling, it's fake," Punk said. "People always get offended by that word. 'No, we like to say it's pre-determined.' For whatever reason, people get angry at fake; pre-determined eases the blow? It's fake. At the end of the day it doesn't really mean anything. So after a while, it was, 'Let's just really fight and see what happens.' Now I get to."
