"100 percent ready" - Jonathan Haggerty says his mind and body are bulletproof ahead of title defense vs. Superlek

Less than three weeks before his second defense of the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on Sept. 6 in the main event of ONE 168: Denver against Superlek Kiatmoo9, Jonathan Haggerty claimed that he would be in his optimal form on fight night.

Haggerty has been filming his journey and training camp for this clash with Superlek through a vlog series on his YouTube channel. He shared on the second episode of his preparation that his body and mind are on point. He said:

"The body's strong. The mind's strong. That's the main thing. We're gonna be 100 percent ready for this one."

'The General' will not only gun for the second straight defense of his 26-pound golden belt but also avenge his previous defeat at the hands of 'The Kicking Machine,' who beat him via a second-round TKO finish in 2018 at YOKKAO because of a nasty cut he suffered.

Haggerty is coming off a come-from-behind victory over Felipe Lobo in February 2024 at ONE Fight Night 19, where he came back from a knockdown to finish 'The Demolition Man' in the third round of their showdown in Bangkok.

Jonathan Haggerty says that Felipe Lobo camp was the worst camp he's had

In another video, the British combat sports superstar talked about how bad his camp was with the Lobo fight due to injuries to his hands and feet. These factors almost made him pull out of that fight, and he stated:

"I'll let you guys know, this was probably the worst camp I've had. I had a bad hand. I couldn't punch for three weeks. My feet severely burned at the bottom. I couldn't run, I couldn't really lose any weight. I was literally on the verge of pulling out two weeks before this fight."
