19-year-old Raul Rosas Jr. explains how being a UFC fighter has changed his fortunes forever: "We didn't even have beds"
19-year-old MMA prodigy and surging UFC bantamweight Raul Rosas Jr. is primed to be the next big thing in the division. Becoming the youngest fighter to ever win his UFC debut at just 18 years and 63 days old, 'El Nino Problema' burst into the scene like a bat out of hell, going 4-1 in the promotion so far.
Being a UFC fighter is one thing, but to be one of the youngest to achieve immense success at the highest level of the sport is a whole new level of greatness entirely.
The teenage prodigy, who beat 'TUF' winner Ricky Turcios..last weekend, is quite grateful for the fortunes his early success has given him, telling Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour:
"Yeah, we're [my family] are more comfortable. I have been able to provide for them more. Things, little by little, have gotten better. Like, before, when I was in [Dana White's] Contender Series, we didn't even have beds. We didn't even have a couch."

Raul Rosas Jr, to buy a house, gets a new car and minivan with UFC earnings
Speaking further on his life at the moment, the teenage MMA sensation Raul Rosas Jr, told Ariel Helwani:
"Now we have beds. Now we have a couch. Now I'm looking to buy a new house. I'm 19 years old, you know, so I'm blessed."
When asked if he was able to buy the van that he wanted for his mother (based on a previous interview), Raul Rosas Jr. said:
"Yeah, I did get the minivan. And I've got another car as well. Things like that have helped me in life with me and my family, like, in a better position. "
With a whole life ahead of him and still barely breaking through his prime years, Raul Rosas Jr has the potential to make it to the top of the sport one day. When that day comes, he'd be able to give his family more than just a minivan or a couple of beds and couches. He'd give them a new life - if he hasn't already.
