3 fights that could steal the show at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs Nattawut
ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs Nattawut may very well go down as one of the most stacked cards to take place inside 'The Mecca of Muay Thai' Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
This striking extravaganza on Sept. 27 is littered with killers from top to bottom. Obviously, all eyes will be on the main event featherweight Muay Thai clash between Superbon and 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut.
Fans will also tune in on the penultimate showdown between Takeru Segawa and Thant Zin.
That said, here are three under-the-radar bouts at ONE Friday Fights 81 that could end up stealing the show.
3. Nabil Anane vs Soe Lin Oo
Nabil Anane will bring his red-hot four-fight winning streak to ONE Friday Fights 81 where he'll face the no-nonsense Soe Lin Oo.
The Algerian-Thai has used his towering frame to disrupt the stacked bantamweight Muay Thai ranks and is now currently ranked fourth in the division.
It will be interesting to see if Anane can once again used his absurd length to dictate where this fight goes, especially against 'Man of Steel's chaotic lethwei fighting style.
2. Nong-O vs Kiamrian Nabati
Will we see a changing of the guard at ONE Friday Fights 81? Or will a battle-tested veteran prove he is still a force to be reckoned with?
Former bantamweight Muay Thai overlord Nong-O Hama is still on a hunt for the throne he once occupied. But to return to the top of the heap, he must first take out rampaging Russian Kiamrian Nabati, who's out for his spot in the top 5.
Nong-O showcased a more methodical approach in his latest win against Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai. We'll see if the Thai legend can do the same against the head-hunting Nabati, who's coming off a massive knockout win over Suablack Tor Pran49.
1.Ilias Ennahachi vs Hiroki Akimoto
Something has to give when two former world champions collide in a bid to regain their old glory.
Hiroki Akimoto is itching to shake off a two-fight skid, especially after the controversial ending to his last match with Wei Rui. This time around, the Japanese tactician will certainly look for the finish to leave the judges out of the equation.
Ilias Ennahachi, on the other hand, wants to remind ONE fans he's still one of the best strikers in the world after his hiatus from the promotion. After all, the Morrocan is the last fighter to beat the mighty Superlek Kiatmoo9.
