"A f***ing liar" - Tyson Fury's brutally honest take on fighter pay cracks up Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo

Tyson Fury recently shared his candid opinion about fighter pay, which prompted a good laugh from Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo. Fury believes fighters should be compensated well due to the dangers associated with combat sports.

In the most recent episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Fury spoke to Usman and Cejudo and focused on how Saudi Arabia has been helping to arrange fan-favorite fights in recent years and how athletes are benefiting from this. The Brit went on to say that a fighter should get paid well, given the health risks involved in the sport.

''I'm all for fighters getting paid as much as possible because I know how hard this game is to fight, getting knocked about year in year out for for little amounts of money and you feel like you're not going anywhere, you're not doing anything...I know how difficult it is doing tough fights for no money. I've been there, I've done it a thousand times.''

Fury continued:

''I'm all for the fighters making a sh*t ton of money as much as they can and you want the easiest fights possible for the largest and you want the easiest fights possible for the largest amount of money and anyone who says they want the most difficult fights possible for the least amount of money is a f***ing liar.''

Usman and Cejudo both laughed at Tyson's remarks on fighters' pay, with the former welterweight champion concurring with the 36-year-old.

As for Tyson, in his most recent boxing outing, he took on Oleksandr Usyk earlier this year and suffered a split decision loss after 12 rounds of intense action. The two are set for a rematch on Dec. 21 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Tyson will look to hand Usyk his first professional defeat.

Tyson Fury discusses Dana White's involvement in boxing

Tyson Fury offered his support for Dana White's entry into the boxing scene, saying it would be incredible for the sport.

In the aforementioned interview with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Fury gave his approval, saying:

''With Dana White coming into the game, he's done fantastic with the UFC, he's took it from a small unknown company to one of the biggest companies in the world in the fight game and I think it can only improve the boxing scene if he's involved in it.'' [13:57]
