“A very hard domino to knock down” - Jarred Brooks lauds Anatoly Malykhin’s toughness ahead of Reug Reug showdown
Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked divisional contender, 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States, is just as excited as anybody to witness the upcoming heavyweight MMA world title clash between triple champ Anatoly Malykhin and brash Senegalese wrestler Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane.
Malykhin will defend his heavyweight MMA gold against 'Reug Reug' at ONE 169: Atlanta this November, and Brooks can't wait to witness this epic showdown between ONE Championship behemoths.
'The Monkey God' told ONE in a recent interview:
"The thing I like out of this fight is Anatoly Malykhin is super technical with his boxing, his kickboxing, his Muay Thai, and his wrestling is great. So he's a very, very hard domino to knock down."
Brooks continued:
"But you have Reug Reug, who is somebody that started at a plain scale. He only knew little bits of wrestling, right? Like knock you down type of wrestling. From what I'm seeing out of his training, I'm seeing some really good boxing combinations and he looks like he hits hard as hell. Reug Reug versus Anatoly Malykhin just makes sense. It definitely makes sense."
Needless to say, we're all excited to see Malykhin and Kane finally throw down in the Circle and it can't come soon enough.
Meanwhile, Brooks is headed into his own world title opportunity this weekend.
