Conor McGregor breaks down his brilliant usage of low center of gravity in TKO win over Donald Cerrone
In a recent Instagram post, Conor McGregor pored over his spectacular performance at UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone. 'The Notorious' further claimed that his former bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov's deceased father Abdulmanap said that watching the fight was like witnessing magic.
McGregor, as he often does, delved into one of his past performances and pointed out minute details from the fight. This time, he evaluated his TKO victory over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, a fight the Irishman won inside 40 seconds of the very first round.
Conor McGregor also took a dig at wrestlers, claiming that it's easy to become a "grab and hold merchant":
"The temptation here for the attacking fighter in this lower center of gravity position is always to connect to the body. Grab a hold of it. Lean on it. Wrap an arm around it to stabilize themselves from falling over and to stabilize their own panic. Grab and hold merchants, it is so easy to become and most are"
Breaking down the finish, McGregor wrote:
"I throw my shot right as he moves his hand, unguarding his temple. He had to move it to attempt to advance his position. My job was to be patient, controlled, and balanced in this position, completely free of connection, and unload to the temple when it presented itself."
Claiming that Khabib Nurmagomedov's father called his performance "magic", he added:
"Adbulmanap said this fight was like watching magic and he was right. 100% downward ground and pound accuracy I had in this fight. I did not miss one shot. Enjoy."
With the victory at UFC 246, Conor McGregor cemented his place in the history books to hold the distinguished honor of having knockout victories in three separate weight classes.

MMA fans react to Conor McGregor's lengthy evaluation of his fight with Donald Cerrone
Combat sports fans were baffled by the lengthy assessment that Conor McGregor posted about his fight with Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.
One fan compared the Irishman to renowned English poet and playwright William Shakespeare:
"Brother turned into the UFC Shakespeare."
Another fan advised the former two-division champion to address Michael Chandler's recent callouts instead of spending time delving into the past:
"How about you answer chandlers call out instead of weird throwback posts."
Yet another fan mocked McGregor's victory against Cerrone, who competed in the lightweight division for most of his career:
"The only win in the last 5 years against a 155er who wasn't even top 10 and neither of you could make weight.... a sad decline to your career."
