Adrian Lee admits to feeling "added pressure" being recognized as ONE Championship royalty
Adrian Lee was candid about the "added pressure" he's facing during the early stages of his professional combat sports career.
Few fighters have to deal with the expectations that Lee does. At 18 years old, the younger brother of ONE Championship legends Angela and Christian is considered a future world champion. The Prodigy Training Center athlete knew this time would come, but the added pressure will play a factor moving forward.
Lee did an interview with 4oz to Freedom to discuss his fighting career and what's next. During the conversation, the ONE lightweight MMA prospect had this to say about the pressure that comes from being a part of a legendary family:
"It's definitely added pressure, always having my family watching and supporting me. However, having my family supporting me, it definitely helps a lot more than it hurts."
In June, Adrian Lee made his highly anticipated ONE Championship debut and fought in the professional MMA ranks for the first time. The teenage upstart showcased why he's considered a future world title challenger, as he utilized his well-rounded skill set to secure a second-round submission against Antonio Mammarella.

Adrian Lee's next step to greatness take place at ONE 168: Denver
Adrian Lee has a long journey to overcome before fighting for a world title, especially since his brother, Christian Lee, holds the ONE lightweight MMA throne.
On Friday, Sept. 6, 'The Phenom' will make his second appearance under the ONE Championship banner. There will be a different atmosphere compared to his first professional MMA fight, as the event later this week takes place inside the North American venue of the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
Lee's opponent is Colorado resident Nico Cornejo, who should have extra fans in attendance due to the location. Cornejo holds a professional MMA record of 2-0, with both wins coming by KO/TKO. The 35-year-old plans to capitalize on Lee's added attention and make a name for himself.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver can be found on Ticketmaster. North American fans can also watch the stacked fight card with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
