Adrian Lee says game plan for Nico Cornejo was executed to a tee: “It couldn’t have gotten any better”
Adrian Lee feels like his sophomore appearance inside the Circle couldn't have gone any better.
Three months removed from his successful debut at ONE 167 where he earned a second-round submission victory over Antonio Mammarella, 'The Phenom' added another highlight-reel finish to his resume inside Ball Arena at ONE 168: Denver, defeating newcomer Nico Cornejo in the first round.
Appearing at the post-fight press conference alongside his older brother—reigning two-division ONE world champion Christian Lee—Adrian Lee was very happy with how things played out against Cornejo in The Mile High City. Adrian said:
"Yeah, everything went according to plan. I'm happy I was able to execute it. It couldn't have gotten any better."
Determined to carry on his family's legendary legacy, Lee is already off to a pretty fantastic start, submitting his first two opponents to keep his 'O' and a 100% finish rate intact.
