Adriano Moraes is hyped to headline ONE Championship’s U.S. debut in May
'Mikinho' Adriano Moraes is getting ready to make history. On May 5, ONE Championship will be making its debut in the USA with ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
The Brazilian grappling ace will be headlining the inaugural event with a trilogy match against 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson. Moraes is very excited to be a part of ONE's history.
In an interview with SCMP MMA, 'Mikinho' explained:
"I’m excited for this trilogy. I came back to the gym and I’m trying to work on my mistakes that I had in my last fight. So, I’m excited for this bout. It’s our U.S. debut. Mine and ONE Championship too, so I’m excited."

The two dangerous flyweights have won once against each other via knockout and will meet for the third and presumably final time when ONE Championship makes its highly-anticipated debut in the USA on May 5, 2023. 'Mighty Mouse' and Moraes will headline ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, hosted at the 1stBank Arena in Colorado, USA.
Adriano Moraes on the Demetrious Johnson trilogy
'Mikinho' Adriano Moraes understands the gravity of the situation upcoming on May 5. Headlining the first event stateside and facing all-time great Demetrious Johnson in their third match.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Adriano Moraes explained:
“Making this trilogy means a lot to me. It’s an honor for me to be able to make history in MMA facing an athlete like Demetrious Johnson – an athlete I never imagined I would face, and now I’m going to fight him for the third time. It’s very rewarding to have this opportunity, and I’m very happy to be doing this trilogy against one of the best fighters in the world.”
'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson discussed their historic trilogy while in an interview with SCMP MMA. Johnson said:
"He’s gone back and forth, done trilogy fights with Kairat Akhmetov. I know he had a trilogy with Geje Eustaquio. Now he’s going to have a trilogy with me, so he’s kind of been in this territory before. I have as well, but typically I just go 2-0 against my opponents. "
ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 will be an event to remember. The 1stBank Arena will host the inaugural ONE Championship event, which will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. All the action will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
