Adriano Moraes works on his balance to prepare for Demetrious Johnson trilogy
Adriano Moraes showcased his impressive balance in a recent training video.
Moraes is one month away from arguably the most important fight of his career. At ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, the former flyweight world champion looks to regain the throne by defeating Demetrious Johnson in their rubber match.
‘Mikinho’ is starting to put on the finishing touches for his intense training camp. While training at American Top Team in South Florida, the Brazilian title challenger posted a video on Instagram of his preparations. In the video, Moraes is seen using a gymnastic-like balance routine, ending in a full handstand while holding on to workout equipment.
Balance will be one of the many tools that Adriano Moraes must utilize to emerge victorious at ONE Fight Night 10. The former flyweight world champion has spent more than twenty-five minutes in the circle with Demetrious Johnson, making their third meeting on May 5 more intense.
It’ll be intriguing to see if the trilogy bout between Moraes and Johnson ends in another knockout. In April 2021, the elite flyweights met for the first time, leading to ‘Mikinho’ shocking the MMA world with a second-round knockout by a combination of a knee and ground and pound. In August 2022, ‘Mighty Mouse’ returned the favor with a picture-perfect flying knee to become the flyweight king.
Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes 3 isn’t the only world championship fight going down inside the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado. In the co-main event, Rodtang Jitmuangnon looks to defend his flyweight Muay Thai world title against promotional newcomer Edgar Tabares. Before those must-see matchups, rising superstar Mikey Musumeci will put his flyweight submission grappling world title on the line against Osamah Almarwai.
ONE Fight Night 10, the promotion's first event on U.S. soil, can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
