After losing $500,000 in Francis Ngannou's fight, Conor McGregor looks to get it back by placing same amount for UFC 308
It appears as though Conor McGregor is looking to earn back the money he lost wagering on last week's Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira bout. The Irishman is putting up $500,000 for UFC 308 and clearly took a more personal approach with his wager this week.
Last week, 'The Notorious' made his pick public as he placed a $500,000 wager on Ferreira to defeat Ngannou via knockout. It ended up being costly as the former UFC heavyweight champion used his improved wrestling to secure a takedown and earned a first-round knockout after landing ground strikes.
The former two-division UFC champion shared his picks for UFC 308 on his Instagram story and appears to be backing the underdogs to secure him a massive payday.
McGregor made bold wagers on Robert Whittaker to pull off an upset win over Khamzat Chimaev and former foe Max Holloway to dethrone Ilia Topuria in the main event in spectacular fashion:
"What's up, guys, 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor here...Ladies and gentlemen, here is my picks for the evening...Max Holloway, Robert Whittaker. KO victories. Max Holloway inside the first half of the fight. Robert Whittaker inside the second half of the fight. $500,000 USD."

How much would Conor McGregor's total payout be for UFC 308 picks?
Conor McGregor is not only looking to regain the money he lost with last week's wager on Renan Ferreira, but he is looking to gain a significant payday.
It's important to note that Max Holloway and Robert Whittaker are listed as heavy underdogs at UFC 308, so both earning knockout wins would result in a significant return. The Irishman tweeted his bet slip, which shows the combined odds for Holloway and Whittaker to earn knockout wins is listed at 34.04 odds.
With that in mind, McGregor could see his $500,000 USD turn into a total payout of $17,120,000.00 USD.
