After turning lucky in Diaz vs. Masvidal matchup, Conor McGregor now places huge bet on outcome of UEFA Euro 2024 finals
Conor McGregor added a second massive wager on the UEFA Euro 2024 finals between Spain and England.
On Sunday, July 14, the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany will be sold-out for the must-see finale of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. The two countries looking to extend their legacy are Luis de la Fuente's Spain, ranked eight in the FIFA rankings, and Gareth Southgate's England, ranked fifth.
Before the UEFA Euro 2024 started, McGregor placed an €83,500 wager on Spain to win the entire tournament, which would pay out €1,002,000. Earlier today, the former two-division UFC champion doubled down on his confidence in Fuente's team by submitting another wage and saying this on Twitter:
"Hey guys, Spain are winning 3-1 tomorrow. I have placed €100k on @Duelbits at the amazing odds of 19/1. This result will see me take in €2m cash as well as the €1.1m I will cash on them just winning! €3.1m all in! This match is on my birthday! Tomorrow! Good luck and YOU'RE WELCOME!"
McGregor followed up by saying:
"My bad guys, @Duelbits just hit me up! They really have the best odds ever! The odds on that score coming in "3-1 Spain" isn't 19/1 it is actually 25/1!!! This means the return on my €100k will be €2.6m! Lovely jubbly €3.7m all in tomorrow for my birthday! THE RICH GET RICHER, BE EXCITED"
Conor McGregor cashes out on Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match
On July 6, MMA superstars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal competed in a ten-round boxing match inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Heading into the intriguing matchup, Conor McGregor placed a $500,000 wager on Diaz to emerge victorious in the battle between former UFC fighters.
Following the entertaining action, Diaz emerged victorious by majority decision, leading to a $1,625,000 payout for McGregor. 'The Notorious' reacted to his winnings by saying this on Twitter:
"THE RICH GET RICHER!!! Well done Nate, congrats!"
Conor McGregor has been racking up wins in the sports betting world. Meanwhile, he hasn't won inside the octagon since demolishing Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in January 2020. It'll be intriguing to see if the 35-year-old can get his hand raised later this year in a long-awaited matchup against Michael Chandler.
