Alex Pereira confident Dana White will launch potential boxing promotion project with him

Alex Pereira likes the idea of Dana White venturing into the boxing world. Pereira said White might work with him to start his potential boxing promotion.

White recently announced that he intended to start a new boxing promotion. The UFC CEO, who has always shown interest in boxing, has been working behind the scenes to create a plan for his new business venture.

White claimed that he plans to handle boxing promotions differently than those run by conventional boxing promoters, even if he has not yet revealed all the specifics of his new endeavor. The 55-year-old thinks he can provide fans with something special and that there is an opportunity for creativity in the sport.

Pereira, an avid boxing fan himself, expressed his thoughts on White entering the boxing scenario in a recent interview with Kevin Iole on his YouTube channel.

''Honestly, man, I feel very good about this. I like boxing, I wanted to fight in boxing, I've been saying for a while about this. I'm gonna release action in the next few days, I've a video of me sparring the best heavyweight boxer in Brazil...Dana White made the announcement, to be honest, nothing was spoke, nothing was talk between us in the organization, but I feel that this partnership with Dana White will start with me."

In another interview with The Schmo, Pereira expressed his ambition to box one day, following White's foray into the boxing scene, saying:

''Absolutely, I want to express my will to go boxing one day. I think that this partnership of the UFC and boxing is a very good thing going for the sport. Many boxers say that MMA fighters cannot go toe-to-toe with boxing. Alex believe that not only him but many other [MMA] fighters could do that too.''
