Alex Pereira's sister, Aline Pereira, recently credited her brother for his training, following her stunning knockout win at Karate Combat 50.
Pereira stopped her opponent, Dee Begley, in the first round of their contest, using her brother's signature left hook to flatten her opponent. She then pounched on Begley and finished the fight with a barrage of follow-up strikes.

During her post-fight interview, Pereira then revealed her brother had been teaching how to land the hook in training. She said:
"That’s the Pereira left hook. My big brother’s the one that showed me."

#2 Ex-UFC champ potentially suffering from CTE and traumatic brain injuries
In the latest developments from the UFC's antitrust lawsuit, former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum has shared an alarming update in regards to his health.
First reported by MMA journalist John S. Nash, who has been extensively covering the case, Werdum has been experiencing a range of horrifying symptoms relating to CTE.
These include symptoms such as scarring on his brain, changes in his personality and an inoperable cyst.
"While fighting for the UFC, I suffered many concussions. I fear that during my career I have suffered traumatic brain injury (TBI) and am noticing symptoms common with TBI and CTE including irritability, anger, anxiety, insomnia and memory loss. I have many lesions and scarring in my brain, and I have a cyst that is located centrally within my brain making surgery thus far impossible."

Conor McGregor is still on the hunt for a rematch against Floyd Mayweather.
'The Notorious', who has been seeking redemption for his 10th-round TKO loss to 'Money' since 2017 and has regularly expressed his interest in running it back in the ring. However, during the latest BKFC Spain pre-fight presser, the Irishman now has a different rule-set in mind.
Speaking to MMA journalist Jamal Niaz, the UFC star said:
"Floyd is a little pu*sycat. You're doing bad conversations trying to get a boxing match at 155. Fight me [at] my weight. I'm the A-side... bare knuckle. McGregor [vs.] Mayweather 170 pounds. Let's go baby, take off the gloves and fight b***ch. It's happening, it's happening. We're trapping him in the corner. We have you trapped in the corner."
