#3. Alex Pereira shares details about upcoming movie role
Just like his UFC career, Alex Pereira is hoping he can take the world of Hollywood by storm. The Brazilian is currently set to make his acting debut in the upcoming action thriller Onslaught, where he will play the lead antagonist named 'The Butcher'.
Whilst details about the movie remain scarce, such as the plot or the release date, Pereira has recently shed some light on his role. Speaking on a recent episode of the Podpah podcast, the UFC light heavyweight champ said:
"I'm going to act but I'm doing something where I don't have to speak...It's going to be like the Terminator where he only says one word at the end. I'll be there from the beginning to the end and I'm going to say 'CHAMA'"
#2. Dricus du Plessis wants a double UFC title fight with win over Khamzat Chimaev
Dricus du Plessis recently outlined his plans for the future, stating that he wants a shot at the light heavyweight title should he defeat Khamzat Chimaev.
'Borz' recently cemented himself as the No.1 contender for the middleweight title after he defeated Robert Whittaker at UFC 308. Whilst it has been speculated that du Plessis would be facing Sean Strickland next, the South African appears to have now set his sights on Chimaev.
Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN MMA, 'Stillknocks' stated that if he adds a victory over Chimaev to his resume, he is more than deserving of his chance at becoming a double champion. He said:
"If I beat Khamzat Chimaev – I beat Robert Whittaker, then I beat Sean Strickland, then I beat Israel Adesanya, then I beat Khamzat Chimaev, that warrants a double title fight. And I think that might just be it. I have a vision, and I can’t picture something more perfect than that."

#1. Derrick Lewis withdraws from UFC Edmonton
Derrick Lewis will no longer feature this weekend at the UFC Edmonton event, after it was revealed he has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to medical issues.
'The Black Beast' was set to face Jhonata Diniz in the co-main event, but due to his withdrawal, their bout has been scrapped. Lewis had notably made headlines the night before as he wasn't in attendance for the ceremonial weigh-ins.
Despite the promotion still assuring fans the bout was going ahead amidst Lewis' absence, it has now been confirmed in the last few hours that the heavyweight star was out of the fight due to a medical issue not relating to weight-cutting.
