Alexander Volkanovski will face one threat against Islam Makhachev which he can't prepare for, says Michael Bisping
Michael Bisping recently previewed the upcoming lightweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makahchev.
Alexander Volkanovski is set to make his UFC debut in the lightweight division against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 284. The headliner fight is scheduled for February 11, 2023, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
In a recently uploaded YouTube video, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping commented on the much-awaited title fight. The UFC veteran believes that the physical disparity might have some bearing on the fight, but what would be more important is the 'ground and pound.'
Sharing his thoughts on where 'The Great' should focus more on his upcoming title fight, the UFC Veteran had this to say:
"Of course, he is training hard, he's starting in bad positions and he knows he's going to get taken down. He's going to have to get back up. But ground and pound make all the difference. Now of course, in the gym, Volkanovski is having people hit him, right? but he's not having people trying to knock him out and he's not having people dropping massive nasty elbows to the face and to the head... Because that is when you make mistakes. When you are dazed, when you are confused. So that's going to be the real tricky part for Volkanovski."

Michael Bisping is confident Conor McGregor will get an immediate title shot upon successful comeback
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes that if Conor McGregor is successful in his return to the Octagon, he will be given an immediate title shot.
Bisping made the comments during a Q&A on YouTube, responding to a fan who suggested that McGregor shall have to defeat Dustin Poirier before vying for the title. Bisping argued that McGregor, who is still considered the biggest star in the promotion, should be granted the title shot if he wins his comeback fight due to the “millions” that the Irishman brings along with him to the showdown.
Responding to the fan, 'The Count' said:
"Listen buddy, you like it or not, Conor's still the biggest star in the sport. And with one win, you can bet your bottom dollar that he is gonna fight for the title. Of course he is. And the reality is, if you own the organization and you had a guy like Conor that could bring in millions of pay-per-view buys, you'd probably do the same thing. I don't agree with it but that's just the way the world works."
